About
I am a Vancouver based photographer and documentary filmmaker. I grew up in Montreal of Greek parents and moved west after studies at McGill University. My photography apprenticeship was through printing at an esteemed black and white lab, used by the best photographers in the city. I started out with shooting fashion and progressed to portraiture, architecture and travel. Photographing people for magazines inspired my desire to let subjects tell their own fascinating stories. In 2011, I took the documentary film program at Capilano University, starting a new and rewarding direction. In my documentary work, I have frequently taken on the roles of director, writer, cinematographer, editor and sound operator. Through all my work, my focus is on storytelling with an observational approach, with the intention of revealing character, nuance and spirit.
